All of the usage charges are based on the number of resources provisioned and the time that those resources are active.
The following examples show the calculation:
Monthly Resource Balance = For Each Hour (Monthly Resource Balance + Hour Resource Count)
Charged Amount = (Monthly Resource Balance – Included Resource Count) * Usage Rate
Hour Resource Count is calculated as the maximum amount of the resource during an active portion of the hour. If the resource wasn’t active for more than half of that hour then the Hour Resource Count is calculated as 0.
If the customer is being billed for a partial month then the Included Resource Count will be pro-rated based on the number of active service days in the month.
