How do I manually configure the install Microsoft Lync?

There are two different ways to manually configure Microsoft Lync. You can either download and run the .reg file or input the settings manually.

1.  Download and Run .reg File

1. Navigate to the Manual Configuration page by logging into the Service Management Console at savvisdirect.com and selecting Applications > Lync (Standard or Enterprise) > Manage > Launch Service.
2. A new window will appear. Select Lync Secure IM > Instructions
3. Click on the .reg file hyperlink to download the file.
4. Locate the .reg file and run it. Microsoft Lync will be configured once it is completed.

 

2.  Input Settings Manually

1. Open the Option menu on the top right.

 

2. In the Option menu, under Personal, enter the email address and click Advanced…

      c.  Select Manual Configuration, enter lyncsip.exch040.serverdata.net for Internal server name or IP address and External server name or IP address. Select OK.
