How to insert a hyperlink to an e-mail address into text in SiteBuilder

1.       Select the text you would like to make a hyperlink.

2.       On the toolbar of the “Text & Images” module, click the “Link” icon.

3.       You can do any of the following:

a.       Add a link to another webpage on their site. Select the option “A page of this site”. In the “Select page” menu, select the desired page.

b.      Add a link to a webpage on another site. Select the option “A webpage or file on the Internet” and type the web address.

c.       Add a link to a document or other file that you have previously uploaded through the Document Manager. Select the option “A document on this site” and select the file.

d.      Add a link that will open a new e-mail message with a pre-defined destination e-mail. Select the option “A webpage or file on the Internet” and type mailto:<address>.

         i.      Example: mailto:contact@example.com.

        ii.      You can also predefine the subject line by typing mailto:contact@example.com?subject=My%20Subject.

       iii.      You can add recipients to CC or BCC by typing mailto:contact@example.com?subject=My%20Subject&cc=address1@example.com&bcc=address2@example.com.

NOTE: You should replace white spaces with “%20”.

4.       In the “Open link in” menu, select where you want to open the desired page. You can choose to open the page in the same window or in a new browser window or tab.

5.       In the “Title” box, type the description that should appear when users place their mouse pointer over the link.

6.       Click “Ok” to save all changes.
